Mac: out of memory on my disk

This is a tricky solution that I want to share with you.
In my previous post I describe how to retrieve big files on a Mac. This doesn't fix the issue, unfortunately.

I also discovered that the default Mail app my my Mac was creating huge log files. Check out the following folder:
   Macintosh HD⁩
      ▸ ⁨Users⁩
         ▸ ⁨#user name#
            ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Containers⁩ ▸ ⁨com.apple.mail⁩ ▸ ⁨Data⁩ ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Logs

You can delete these files without problem. These files are only log files.
Actually, they are created and updated because on one option turned on on your Mac.
So, to turn it off:

  1. Launch your Mac mailer
  2. In the Window menu, select the item Connection Doctor
  3. At the bottom of the dialog, uncheck the box titled: Log Connection Activity
And you are all set, and like me you might ecover 200GB ! ;-)
